I always seem to run out of everything at the same time, so I thought it would make for an interesting post. A few of these products are my staples, but there are a few I wasn't too keen on...
Benefit Hello Flawless Powder: I picked this one up after seeing Alexandrea Garza using it in most of her videos to set her foundation. I went for a yellow toned shade to brighten and highlight underneath my eyes, on the bridge of my nose, chin and forehead. It's such a creamy powder and has a really nice velvety finish and does have a very good coverage. The only thing I'd say is that you get very little product for the price (£25.50!!) and it does run out super quick. Even though I liked this powder, it's no match to my Rimmel Stay Matte!
The Body Shop Oils Of Life Intensively Revitalising Gel Cream*: This one I will 100% re-purchase. I can really tell a difference in my skin since using this moisturiser and I never knew how much oils can benefit your skin, even on an oily complexion, until I started using this. It contains 3 precious seed oils that really replenish and revitalise the skin, it's fantastic. If you're looking for a light weight daily moisturiser then I highly recommend this product.
NARS Laguna Bronzer: I have gone through about 3 of these already and always get a new one each Christmas from my Mum. It's the perfect colour for light to medium skin tones and adds a lovely natural glow without too much shimmer. I don't think I really need to say much about this product as its such a cult favourite. All I can say is if you haven't already tried it, you're missing out.
MAC Lipstick in Patisserie: This was my second tube of this lipstick, it's a brilliant 'your lips but better' kind of colour that it so easy to throw on, and instantly brings a look together. It's subtle enough that you can wear it with hardly any makeup, but still one that looks lovely with a more put together look. I bought this after reading about it on Anna's blog and I highly recommend trying it.
MAC Pro Longwear Concealer: The best concealer I have used. I absolutely love it and I'm already on to my 3rd bottle. Enough said. Try it. Please.
Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer: This is another cult favourite in the online beauty community, it's a lovely cheap alternative if you haven't got much to spend. I love the sponge tip that makes application so easy and it's brilliant product for brightening underneath the eyes.
The Body Shop Moisture Foundation*: I wear this foundation in shade 7 when I have fake tan on as it's such a brilliant tone and matches the tan perfectly. I never see anything about this online but it's honestly such a lovely foundation with great coverage, I'd say the coverage is medium buildable and the finish is definitely on the dewy side. It wears really well on the skin on top of Instablur, also by The Body Shop, and can last me all day with no touch ups. I'd really recommend trying this foundation if you're looking to try something new, I already have 2 back ups. It's definitely a staple that I always have to have in my collection.
MAC Blacktrack Fluidline: I've finally mastered the winged liner for my eye shape, and I've been wearing it non stop. This gel liner is my favourite as it's so creamy, pigmented and smudge proof. It took me so long to use up this pot and it doesn't dry out, so it's well worth the money to me. As always, MAC doesn't disappoint!
Rimmel Stay Matte Primer: I picked up this product on a whim as the third product in a 3 for 2 as I'd ran out of my Instablur by The Body Shop. It's ok... But not great. It definitely mattifies my skin, but that's about all it does. I need something that mattifies, keeps my makeup on all day and fills my pores. Back to the trusty Instablur!
Which products are your trusty staples and which ones are you not so keen on?
*disclamer: I work for The Body Shop but all my opinions on their products are 100% my own, I just happen to love the products. I haven't been paid to talk about anything.
